Default servo horns for micro servo's

I am flying my x2 with futaba s3156 servo's and so far I have had 3 crashes due to the servo horn breaking, total loss of control but light crashes with bent main shaft blades etc and damaged servo horns, is there a better alternative to the stock micro horns or do I need to reinforce them in some way?

Any damage to the servo's internal-gears (?)

I see that Don McCullouh posted some info that may help in this thread ;

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...ght=micro+horn.

These are supposed to be the best-fit and better-performance horn for the Futaba S3156 servos ;

Hope that Helps

no damage to servo gears just the hole had broken through so the arm was hanging off, its happened before so I knew what was going on when the crash happened

Yeah, I had misread your post and was thinking that you were finding the servo horn(s) broken after the crash (not the cause-of).
I was always told it is better to have the horn break than for it to remain in-tact and destroy the internal-gearing.

I didn't see a photo-of the horns that are listed at BPHobbies but that link that I posted is the correct one to use to order them.
I read through several different threads (here and on the otherr-site) and those horns are supposed to be the best solution for the weak Futaba S3156 horn.

cool thanks I will take a look at them, I think I may be pushing this little heli a bit too hard so the balls break the servo horn, thanks again

I did see a post that stated Futaba did in-fact address and replace the original thin horns with one that was thicker / stronger so I'm not sure if you have / had a set-of the originals (?)
