Default Raptor 60- air in fuel line

Dear All

Have just purchased a s/h rappy 60 with tt pro70h engine and standard TT muffler. Have a rappy 30 already and could not pass this one up as v cheap. Having spent a few hours getting it flyable, I now have a problem. The clunk line appears intact as do all the fuel lines, but air is getting into the fuel line ot the carb and so the thing just stops. Also feels a lot hotter than the 30 after a hovering test flight.

Any ideas? I have checked all the things I can think of. The 70 proH is obviously an old engine now and does not even have a low speed mixture needle. If I was to replace this should I go for an OS81? I do not want to spend the money on all the conversions a 90 engine would require.

Cheers

S

are you running a header tank on your 60? if so does it have air in the line when both tanks or tank is full. if so take a small hand crank pump and fill the tanks full[make sure line to carb is closed off] then slowly reverse to pull fuel out and watch for air in the fuel lines, it might give you an idea of when it is acting up.
also it might be running a little hot due to the air in the line, get that fixed and your temp might drop some
