Nice flying Kyle.

Can't wait to maybe try Steve's converted 6102 tomorrow. I have a bunch of T-REX parts NIP so I will take them with me to the field for good luck.

Sounds like fun Ray. Can't wait to check it out!!

Ability to avoid the impound at IRCHA is certainly a good thing!! I'll have the camcorder.

With my Trexs' Set up on the 610Spektrum I have full confidence in the system. I had them set up with Futaba PPM gear before & I personally think the response now with the Spektrum is a little quicker. As for range the last few days I have really put mine to the test, as far as our feild limits & sight permits with no problems.
As for putting one in a larger electric heli, I cant wait to get the pennys up for a 30 size electric & there will definatly be a Spektrum in it. IF it works great within the limits of our field where 90 size machines have NO problems with space then I see no reason why it wouldnt work providing the set up is correct.

This is a great system & I personally believe the "liability" warnings associated with it are just like the warnings with LiPos, Yes things can happen (if conditions are right) but for the most part it will work flawless but that scared alot of folks away from LiPos for along time when they were first introduced but now there the best thing next to peanut butter. Give the Spektrum time & those who doubt will think the same :!:

Thats how I see it too. I can remember worries with other things used in rc. Its normal in rc to have ppl saying nooooo its not safe, or it's not worth the price. I seem to recall some plankers and other fixed wingers saying pcm is not worth it. Now it is priased by many. And I have ben told about the switch to fm from am, no change in radiosystem is taken overnight. For large scale planes and helis, like 1/8 scale and such that get flow out at 1/2 mile or more then ya use a fm/pcm setup to get the one mile range but not many helis are big enough to get anyware near that cuz at 1000 to 1500 feet all you see is a dot. think of looking at somthing 5 fooball fealds away even a person will be too hard to see.
but now I think we have gone over this alot already.
I just cant wait to get a 600. I think that I will put the rx on that plate that sticks out under the boom at that spot the 90 deg antina placement should be easy. It just comes down to gyro selection, 401, 601, or 611. got do my homework on that one. Have any of you tried useing digi servos with the ar6000 rx. I'm not sure if it will drive digis or not.[/quote]
