OS 105
Hey everyone, I've got a question for ya'll. I've got a OS 105 in my 700 and I was trying to start it today. Problem is I am having a problem starting it. I have checked my glow plug and it is heating up. If I prime the engine and then go to start it, it starts for a few seconds then shuts down like it isn't getting any fuel. I have lowered my travel adjust on the radio and the mark on the carb barrel is past the low idle mark on the engine. Do I need to go further with my setting in the radio so the mark goes further on the engine? Any help, input or thoughts would be appreciated.

Is this a regulated engine or does it use muffler pressure ?

The setup that I have is exhaust pressure for the fuel tank and not the regulated engine. I have messed with the engine a little more over the week and still have not been able to get it to fire off.

Re: OS 105
Temp fix is to lean ur idle. But you should Tune ur high then ur mid then ur idle. Sounds like your idle is to rich.
Until you've finished tuning open ur barrel a bit so it revs higher in idle so it starts easy. The os 105 will idle very low when tuned correctly. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2

Personally I leave the idle screw @ factory setting. I live @ sea level here in florida and thats what I have done with my 55hz, 105hzr and now a 91hz. The one time I played with that idle screw on my 55hz which was my first nitro ,I think it took me a week to get it runnin. Any ways just start from scratch , Idle in factory possition , Mid and high needles 1.75 clicks out . (these settings are rich and for break in, but it will definatley fly)Now when you set youre throtlle endpoints you will want to be just above throttle closed mark on carb , and fully open you want to be right on the full open mark on carb. Set throttle trim in middle on tx and adjust as needed to get the engine to start and stay on.

+1 on the too rich idle.
or no real preassure from the tank. If that check if the overpreassure line is open also the nipple which goes into the muffler. |

I found the muffler pressure version of the 1.05 needs the idle needle richened about 1/8 of a turn from factory stock, or it will not want to idle. This is using Byron's 22.5% masters blend fuel and a hatori pipe, with a single thick shim in the head.
