You don't need to upgrade or stretch, or sell the parts that come with the heli. Get bigger heli instead. IMHO when you start stretching the load on the heli is harder and the servos can take a beating. The stretch allow you to tinker.. I guess...

I may have another issue or I may have made a silly build error. Seems like my swashplate will come away from the anti rotation bracket at full +ve pitch and forward elevator. Can someone please post a photo from the side showing the the anti rotation bracket and the swashplate at full +ve pitch and full forward elevator.

At full forward elev and pos pitch, it comes close to coming out, but I dont think it will, fingers crossed. It seems to ride on the rear bearing mostly, the front bearing hardly gets touched.

Thanks for posting. Mine is like that too. If I go to the extreme limits of pitch and elevator then only the cap head of the bolt is left in contact with the ant-rotation bracket. It seems that the anti-rotation bracket sits at an angle leaning backward and should really be vertical. I'm not going to take any chances so I'm going to use a longer bolt and 3 bearings.

I don't think it will get anywhere that limit when flying, you would have to be running 20deg pos pitch!

I usually run +-14 on both collective and cyclic.

Decided in the end to go with 4 bearings and an M2x16mm bolt

Well I managed to find a store with 1 good set of frames in stock and I finished building the heli. I've been flying it regularly for the last few weeks. It took me quite a few flights to dial in my Vbar as my cyclic gain settings ended up being much much higher than expected. Now I have it all dialed in the way I like it, I have to sum it up as the most awesome 450 money can buy. So smooth and the accuracy is almost on par with the 500. 4 point tictocs are easy to keep on the spot and there are no wobbles at the collective endpoints. Piro loops just flow through with no effort. High speed hurricanes make an awesome sound and the tail just holds it with confidence.

Apart from the frame issues above my only other complaint is I had to replace the counterbearing twice over the last 2 weeks. Seems like they are a little bit on the small side for the job. Anyway they are cheap and it takes 2 mins to change it out. I bought a good supply of them.

I'll try and get over Saturday afternoon (weather permitting) - I'll give you a call in advance - keen to see the M-P given a workout

On the counterbearing, are you setting the belt tension with the motor mounts then letting the belt centre before tightening the counterbearing mount? Other than that maybe running the belt too tight, I know you can run it much looser with the mini P and Corrado has said most people were running them too tight on the motor side.

I still have my origional bearing in there running fine after several hundred flights.

I'm tensioning the belt with just the motor mount first and then the counterbearing. My belt is just tight enough that it doesn't skip when I load up the head.
