great pics-where is your esc mounted and how did you get the canopy to fit?
i have the 2100ah lipo and the canopy hits the ball links at the top and front??

Hi Johnny,

The ESC is mounted below the main gear toward the rear. Here is a picture of my friend's MX400 that is setup the same way.

As for the canopy, I have the CCPM kit installed and did have problems with the canopy hitting the linkages. I just used a dremmel tool to cut away the canopy until it fit.

nice setup-but on the mxpro you can't mount the receiver in the front because
the servo tray sits right there-also doesn't the motor interfere with the receiver?
my canopy touches in so many spots i will have to remount it somehow
where is the antenna??
thanks for the info

I haven't had any problems with the motor interfering with the receiver. I know two others with the same setup and they haven't had any problems either.

Here is a shot of the antenna. I used a couple of tie rod end links from an RC car to mount the antenna tube.

looks pretty sweet from my house , but the ecs hanging out makes me nervous, note the amount of crap on my heli , the little things ,carefully calculated sleeving , enhanced decals , finely trimmed canopy, I'm not bragging I'm broke and I have nothing better to do til payday

excellent pics guys-i crashed my chopper 2 times in 2 days!! this time blades-feathering shaft and tail boom are gone
i only want to get the thing up and hovering but i can't? it seems to want to go to the right so i trim and then it veers left but not because of the tail-then i overreact and she crashes-so disappointing-i need to get someone to set it up for me-then there must be a way to set the transmitter end points so it is not so responsive-i know i have the tail and collective controls tamed but the other two are too much! can't afford any more crashes-can't even follow radds school of flite untill it get's setup first.
maybe i shouldn't have gone to the mx size so soon-the blade cx was so easy

Johnnyf:
Check the links in the head and make sure they arnt tight at all. Then make sure the swashplate is level. do it with 0 trim. and then you can use expo in the tx to soften the center of the stick. I just replaced all my links with align links and its much better now, but I still need to work out some subtrim. Also check your cog side to side by turning the blades so that the flybar sits in line with the tail and lift it up with one finger under the flybar on each side. The skids shuld sit level to eachother.
What tx do you use?

ok then you can easly set espo in the radio. I also found that with links set at there 90 deg that my atv was too far out. I brought my ele and alor endponts down and have much beter control. If you hit thrtl hold and turn the birdon you can see if the swash it maxing out. Use a pitch gage to se if you are geting 6 deg of cyclic movment. I now have 6deg cyclic and +10/-10 pitch with no binding. I'm running eflit s75 servos cuz they cost 13bucks and have the torq and speed of the hitsch 50/55. I'm looking into if the align blade grips will alow more cyclic. With the x400 ones the links on the flybar cage hit the bottom of the grips.
Checking to se that you are not binding on cyclic may make it fly better. If you want I can make a vid of how it should move and how it was moving. :glasses:

go into the menu and find expo for ele aloron and start ading 1 or 2 points at a time till it feals good to you, but becarful you can cueas it to push too much expo and go to far on the stick and crash. I run a spektrum so I'm not to sure on the futaba menu for 6exh. you can also set dual rater so that you can soften control for hover and flip a switch for full flight. d/r is great on planes but I have yet to use it on a heli. You might go into the radio treads and look for on on the 6exh.

on a futaba radio you have to program negative expo, start with about negative 15 on aileron and elevator and about negative 10 on rudder and go from there, just remember positive expo = more sensitive
