Default gyro location

whattheheli;

I would strongly suggest to move the gyro. In a crash, the flybar will hit it and destroy it. A good spot would be behind your receiver.

I like your machine. Do you know how it compares to the Align 450?

the align 450 is a better heli ! you would have to do much less moding to it than a mx400

Default cc25

I would be curious to know if your cc25 will run the 430xl myself. I was debating on buying one 430xl and went with the Just Go Fly 500th because it's full load amps was a little less then the 430xl.
I'm guessing if your like me your going to try it and see what it does . If your gona try it set the overload in the esc to it's max setting but not turned off,hover it bit land and take temp reading or feel the esc.

the bolt that holds the hub to the main shaft is called the Jesus bolt
stems from fullsize helis
if it fails your going down like a flying brick, an you may get to meet him!

Default jesus bolt

I heard it was called Jesus bolt because if it ever comes out in flight you will know why the call it a Jesus bolt. It's the bolt that is under the main gear that runs through the main shaft.

gottcha. kinda like the "oh sh!t" handles on a car. once you use them, you know why they are called that.

aight, couple of questions for the thread starter. your battery tray, is that home-made or align? either way i like they way you've got it set up. also, the head, is that the eccpm conversion? one more thing, it looks like (in the rotorhead close-up) that there is metal shavings/filings on your swash? you really want to blow all of that grit out/off of the head before you fly her again. just think if just one of those shavings gets into your swash or main shaft bearing.

sweet. are you getting the ultimate combo or just the arf and will build it to your own specs? if your getting the combo, stay away from that motor they offer with it, as it's pretty weak for as much juice as it draws. then again, maybe i've got to play with my pinions more.
