The 255 is plenty strong as mention already. It boasts the same specs as the align DS610 and they fly really well for smack 3D. I can ring these suckers out and they just keep on performing, once my 610 die I will replace them with the 255s

lol power of kimbo slice and speed of the flash = 9353HV LMAO no one else like the idea of overkill on torque

Just curious, what will make it a "heli version"?

One thing I rarely ever see mentioned is centering. For me that is far more important than speed or torque. A fast powerful servo that centers poorly is far worse than a slightly slower or less powerful (assumes sufficient power) that centers really well.

I think once you get to futaba's bls series centering is not a issue whether its a car or helicopter servo, and as far as Ive seen in the forums futaba's helicopter servos have more dead band. They say thats better for flybarless systems so your servos are not constantly looking for center and eating up batttery mah.Higher frame rate servo would be nice as well.I got word that they possibly might be working on a high torque, high speed servo bls/cyclic servo. Also i noticed your on team futaba so possibly you could awnser your own question and share with us your info.

The BLS servos are great servos and center extremely well. But these are not BLS servos. I've got BLS252 servos in a Raptor90 and they are fantastic servos. Futaba generally does not publish tech specs like deadband and so on, so if someone has info on that it is more than I have.

I am just trying to find out what people mean when they say they want a "heli version" of these two new servos. The 9352 and 9353 differ only in that the 9353 has a full metal case as opposed to only a metal middle case. Honestly I think they are overkill. Very fast for sure, but 300+ in-oz of torque seems like overkill. Again, I think the BLS 252 is the current winner for helis. The BLS255HV looks like a winner too, but I have not used them yet.

you know i have always wondered that to, what precisely makes a servo a car, airplane, or a heli servo ?

From what I have been told (and I am no electronics wizard at all)) it has to do with how the deadband is setup in the servo for different applications/needs.

For car, maybe it need to be more durable to vibration, and possibly less accuracy and centering

Not sure where the myth of having less centering accuracy for car servos comes from. I raced 1/8 scale competitively for a number of years and I can state for certain that centering accuracy is just as important for car use as for helis.

The last thing I would want is for my car's steering to centre poorly when hitting the end of the straight at over 100Km/Hr in a car that has 3Hp and weighs less than 2.5Kg.

Steering play is simply not tolerated.

This is just pure speculation but I think outright speed might be a reason for a helo servo over a car, but also in relation to weight too.

Hands down you want all that you can have for a helo as that really has to be spot on and fast for all these tricky maneuvers we see. But along with that, you just was much want it to be as light as could possibly be.

Where as for the cars, sure all that has some bearing too, but they have to withstand a lot more impact force, so I would think that have to be more robust so that all adds up to more weight and at least for a car and at least for most circumstances, a ounce or two one way or another is not going to affect is as much as it could for a helo.

Default I got 3

I just received my order of three 9352, I couldn't resist!

I have a fury 55 fbl and with these on cyclic at 7.4volts and the bls256 on the rudder should be able to change some blade pitch.

I was running the 9351 and they worked great even at 7.4volts.

I am also running a thunder power 2s 3800 mah and the cgy750.

I will let you all know what happens.

Ok I tried them out today and if you don't think you need think again! Best fun out of the box money can buy.

These things are amazing I never realized how much torque and speed mattered! I can flip and roll and carve really really tight figure eights with no effort.

Have you ever turned up simulator speed up to 125%

The bird does what you want when you want and leaves no feeling of somehow not being able to pull out of a maneuver that goes wrong.

Funnest shit I've ever experienced other than going down to Juarez
