I thought as much too, but I'm becoming more and more confident with it ... it's way more stable and "in control" than the X2. You won't regret taking it to indoor sessions ..

How did you setup the governor on the ikon? Did you use a sensor for the motor? If so, what sensor? I have the YEP 45A that has a governer but would rather use the ikon one.

One more warped!!
I've maiden it this afternoon and i just loved the way it flies.
At the same time i miss the agility from my lighter 450 (80 grams less) but the warp is so silky smooth through the air, tracks perfectly.
Besides having bumped up the agility, itīs not reacting as fast as it should, swash is very tight and the links will get a bit more sizing.
I cannot explore the higher rpm's without getting a lot of buzz, will try carbon tail blades.
The motor gets a bit warmer than my align 1700kv, but it's perfectly ok.
The tail section could see a bit more of improvement: the plastic support part flexes a bit, and the bolt that hold the pitch arm should be shanked, as it is the tail loses a bit of precision.
After all a very nice heli, with precision levels way up there

Great work! And comments. I have to add, do you have any old align or clone tail grip bolts or bell crank bolts? Alot of those came with a longer non threaded shank, so they will work to keep the pitch arm (bell crank) from being as sloppy. (I have quite a few of these in my parts bins).

Searched when i was building the bird and did it again now with no sucess.
this is a little detail that should be looked after by compass, it's a small detail but important.
The right bolt+aluminium support arm would enhance tail performance quite a bit.

What's your headspeed and how much cyclic are you allowing for? (which FBL controller?)

Yah ... go +/- 12 on the pitch and +/- 10 on the cyclics... that should greatly liven things up.

I don't know how to increase rates on the BX, I won't be any help there.

increase your d/r with beastx to increase your cyclic rates

Already set-up the beast for 10š cyclics, will up the D/r also if necessary.
The next two days will be VEEEERY flyable around here.

I went to step L on setup menu. I had it around 8 degrees, it could be limiting my agility.

step L you should go till it binds, and you should be at blue light.

that step is just telling beastx how far it can actually travel, it's like a cyclic protection ring.

after that you set your d/r in you tx to get your flip/roll/yaw rates. and don't use expo if you're using a preset. I bumped my tail up to 110 to get a piro rate i like, around 450/sec.

I always went shy of binding and never bothered to put a pitch gauge to it. But Capi advises to limit the cyclic pitch during this step, 8 degrees IIRC. If you've seen any of his flight videos, he seems to know what he's talking about. I'll see if I can dig up that post.
