Degrease screws that are NOT being loctited?
Quick question - When you're building a heli from a kit I know that you're supposed to degrease any new screws before applying threadlocker.
But do people generally degrease screws that are going into plastic (and thus are NOT having threadlocker applied). Or just use them as is?

I don't. Neither do I bother with screws going into nyloc nuts.
But I may not be a good example - I view blue oil-tolerant 243 as the second coming and have generally given up on degreasing much of anything. |

I degrease all the screws, but I do not know if it is necessary.

I degrease them all. I used to not, but after having bolts coming loose in the head, and even the motor mount bolts, I started. Been doing so for over 2 years now and nothing has came loose. I say it is worth the little extra time it takes!
