To my understanding the stock ESC will do fine.

Miniature HI-Precision SS Ball Brng - ABEC-5 Double Shielded, for 5 mm Shaft Diameter, 9 mm OD

I have maybe 50 to 60 flights on mine, 1 crash, no play in the motor, though I think the mast bearings are on the way out, I add oil to them every 5 flights or so.

Can I add oil to my M motor without removing it ??, hadn't thought about it until I read this thread, so I'll go eyeball it and figure out if i need to rig this thing to slep inverted while the botoom bearing gets oiled ??

260 Flights on my M motor.
No oiling spinning 2690 HS 100% flat curve no gov. 4:50 to reach 80% with 2650 35/70C nanotech packs.

Very pleased with this motor. Noticed both vertical and horisontal play yesterday.

Ordering MX motor along with shaft and bearing kit for my M motor.

For the sake of archive / future search.

Here is a video showing bearing condition after 260 Flights no oiling.
Also included a short flight just before i popped the motor for the sound of the motor.

I did take out the set screw and applied locktight when the motor was installed.

im just a beginner so no fancy flying and my better half held my iphone the wrong way so video isnt the best.

So just wanted to do a quick update and share my mistakes. I'm sure someone made the same mistakes that I made, but I feel the need to share my story. To make a long story short, GET A VICE OR PRESS of some kind, use "C" clamps if you have to. The shaft is a major pain in the arse to get in and out. See below photos why not to use other tools. Also dont forget to align the spot for the grub screw before you install shaft into lower section. I used pointed Q-Tips to apply loctite to inner and outter areas of bearings and shaft before assembly.
