Does anyone know the can dimensions, shaft diam, pinion tooth count and KV for the mSRX main motor? Don't have one in hand to check measurements myself. Yet.

mSRX in hand today. $35 dollar EBay bird 'for parts'. Swapped out the broken blade grip with a spare from my mSR, slid the main gear up the shaft where its supposed to be. Set up my DX8, bind and fly. Nothing seems to be wrong with it. Motor measures 8.46mm X aprox 22mm and has an 8 tooth pinion. Looks like CW rotation. Looks like a candidate for a MMW Dark motor to me. Anyone know of a reason why I shouldn't?

No reason you shouldn't. Worst that happens is there is not enough power to take off and fly.

I recall the stock motor is a high kv.

Seems the MMW Dark only comes with 9T pinion. That may cause a gear bind issue, but I think I'll give it a try here soon and see what happens.
