With 800mm Blades I'd suggest RT 120mm

Nico,
Do you find the 850 tail to be as sensitive as the 700 tail?

With RT810/RT120 on the 850 the tail feels very similar to the combination RT710/RT105 on the 700. Gyro setup is pretty much the same.

Ok thanks Nico! I may try the NHP 800's with 120 tails as a second choice...

I found some 600mm antennas locally. Not sure what to do with all that extra. Going to be interesting finding space.

I used the 400mm ones and cut them to the exact size needed, nothing to it. I found a couple videos on how to cut the antenna's and did it myself!

Thanks for that! The LHS recommended that I could do that but I was a bit paranoid. Sounds like a plan

FYI, here in Aus we used 210mm antenna from Futaba for our Neos, part number FUTRXANT210.
http://www.perthrc.com.au/antenna-fo...s-rx-2.4g.html

These are perfect length, with just the very tip protruding thru the antenna holder tubes.

I'm curious what length you went with both overall and active antenna, ie exposed portion?

My Futaba receivers R7003SB and R7008SB are 29mm and 30mm respectively and while their overall lengths are pretty short the 7008 is slightly longer.

The strange thing is my 600mm antennas have an exposed portion of 32.5mm. I'm wondering if antenna length impacts how much to expose?

Anyway, just curious especially given the accepted range is 29 to 31mm from forums out there.

I'll probably go with 31mm in the absence of any other data.

I made mine to exactly 31.2 mm long on the ends.
