Main and/or tail blade balance would be what I'd be checking, along with the tightness of the main blades. Does it vibrate once the blades are up to speed? Vibrate in flight? Vibrate when spooling down?

The vibrations start as soon as the heli is about to lift off the ground. I don't see them at all during spool up/down. I think I have the tightness on the mains just right. I can tip the heli and the blades don't fold unless I give it a ever so light nudge and they come down and fold. That should be good correct?

Now as for the tail blades, my rear grips are tight to begin with and the blades seem to be tight even without using the bolt to tighten it. It requires more force to fold a tail blade than my main. This didn't cause any issues before, could it now? I do make sure that those are always straight before spooling up.

Chasing down vibes really sucks.

That does sound too tight to me. It sounds like your grips are just a pinch to tight. You can very gently sand or file them to give you just a little more clearance.

Sorry for the delay in my response, I've had no motivation to revisit this issue. The heli has been sitting in m closet for quite some time now. The cold weather is to blame for this. I didn't give up on it though. I bought a new set of Align 70 CF tail blades. They seem to fit much better as far as clearances go. I'll spool it up and check for vibrations once the the weather permits. I would love to get this sorted out before the next season starts. I'm really hoping the tail blades was the culprit. If not, I'll be changing the belt and tail shaft next.
