Hey Robin,
Put me on the list for a set of weights and spacers. Where are u getting the non align bearings?
Thanks
Barry

Are the gaui 203250 bearings any better than the align bearings?

Robin,

Will your weights include the needed bearings and washers? Or will we need to purchase the bearings from another vender?

The bearings I used in the final test were Gaui200 bearings taken from a tail I had

Just the spacer sets with 2 additional 0-80 button head screws to replace the tail blade bolts you will need to get bearings elsewhere. The Gaui 203250 bearings are what was used in the final test. They are available from anyone who handles Gaui.

How about the new tail hub, will your weights be tuned for that as well? I suppose the washer won't fit? Or will you be making one for those aswell?

I have the new hub, and there's quite a bit of slop in the holders

The new hub has no effect on the Chinese weight tuning.
When you say washer I am guessing you mean the custom spacer set in the video that allowed you to preload the bearings. That also is unaffected by the new hub. The custom spacer set will allow you to adjust the slop out of the blade grip when using (2) 1.2 mm wide bearings in each grip.

Yes, That is what I am saying. The new hub has no effect on the custom preload spacer set or the Chinese weights.

The Chinese weights and the spacer sets are two different products.

The Chinese weights are a set of 2 nut and bolt weights as seen in the video.

The preload spacer set is just spacers and grip screws. you will need to supply your own bearings.

Will the new tail hub take 2 bearings? My manual still say there are 2 bearings, but according to readyheli, my serial # claims it's the new type, which i understand have only 1 bearing? I will open it when i get to it and check, but could anyone please guide me to some good bearings, and tell me if 2 will fit? I am confident that 2 will perform better then 1.

The blade grips are what hold the bearings and yes they will hold the 2 bearings and the preload spacer set.

The Gaui 203250 bearings are what was used in the final test. They are available from anyone who handles Gaui. They seem to work well and are relatively inexpensive.

Yes as you could see in the video 2 bearings with the preload spacer set was virtualy slop free. IMO that aint gonna happen with one bearing.

You will have to trim the base of the tail blades to clear the new balde grip screw when using the preload spacer upgrade.

Wow this looks like fun! I have the original tail and it seems to be holding, but all I'm doing is hovering. I also have the RMA'd new replacement hub, but haven't put it on yet. From what I've read, I have to get my own bearings elsewhere? Is there anyway I can get everything from you? (for a fee of course) Thanks

Ricky
