Default Going 6s. What size?

Going 6s on my pro. It's not stretched yet. I'm using the straight cut 150T gears for now. Motor I'm running Will be the Ntm 1700kv and Hw v3 50esc.
I currently have a 13T. I've read a 14 or 15 might be the way to go. Opinions please
Cheers Gav

Best of luck.. Love the 6S on my 360CFX. Just picked up and stored a 12S G570. I think 6S is a good limit for me too. Over that nitro ... don't get me started.

Going from 3 to 6s usually requires a smaller pinion. Your ratio with the 13t pinion on 6s will give you a max headspeed around 3600rpm and if I remember right trex 450's can only handle 3500rpm. If anything you might want to get a 12t but you could use your 13t but wouldn't be able to run 100% throttle.

1200-1350 6s lipos are a good size for most 450's

I have an 11 and 12T. I thought if you went slant heard which are 121T you had to go smaller and straight cut bigger. I thought that's what I had read.
Ok well thus why I'm getting your guys opinions who are already running 6s.
Thanks

With the 150T main gear you would need 12T, 13T or 14T pinion, depending what head speed you want, and whether you use governor.

14T is great with governor, but needs a high C battery.
12T and 13T would work ok ungoverned.

Hope this helps

Yes it does thanks.
I might just try the 13T for now. Then when I set up gov might go 14T.
Cheers

Default pinion

I'm running a 12t on 6s. Its a stretched 450 pro slinging 360's. I don't run a gov. but seems to be around 3500 hs.@ 100% throttle. Honestly IMO the 12t is perfect with the NTM 1700kv motor. I'm using gens-ace 1200mah 40c 6s. Also using a CC Talon 35a esc..everything comes down just slightly warm (which is great to me). At first I was running 90% TC, but it came down a lot cooler running 100%. Hope this helps and if you have any questions I'm more than happy to help.
