Question Hot motor mount

How hot does everyone's motor mount get on their 425? After only a short test flight after a rebuild I felt the motor mount and found it to be pretty hot. I shot it with an IR thermometer, and it was 142 deg F. It just seemed pretty warm to me. The motor is not overly hot, and I don't hear any crazy noises that would be indicative of a bad bearing. Let me know what y'all think.

What's your kv? I'm no motor guru but I noticed when I went from 1400 to a 910 that run time was at least a minute longer and motor/esc temps were lower. I think higher kv motors have more "windings" and require more (longer) wire that is smaller gauge to fit the stator. Resistance will be greater on the smaller wires. I think motors are an inductive load so resistance changes when the motor is running. Most likely can't see anything with it sitting on the bench as far as resistance.

Im running a Hyperion 1000kv. The motor isn't really warm enough to worry me. It's just the motor mount- being that it is mounted to plastic, and all.

same here, im running a hk motor, 1600 kv, 4 mins flight and the only thing really hot is the motor mount, clocked it at 148 1 time but average is 140- 144 degrees.
5 mins cooldown time and im running again. I've got 60 flights on it so far.
nothing fancy though, just a bunch of hovering and ocasionally some forward flights.

Well, I'll just keep an eye on it for now. I have a bigger issue now. I have a wicked tail wag that came out of nowhere. Settings are all the same and everything. Weird.
