Default bad vibration-possibly the head ??

well, I"ve got everything rebuilt, and even took some extra precations and replaced a few bearings, main and tail shafts, and a couple gears.
Just to find a bad wobble.
trying to track it down and the only thing I can think of thats left is the actual head itself.
Would a hard landing ruin the head?
spooling up without the head on the shaft spins true, but when I bolt it back on it wobbles real bad.
just looking at it, it doesnt look bad, but it sure starts bouncing about quarter throttle.
should I replace the head? or am I missing something else?

...you very well could have bent the head center piece...Do you have another to try?
Did you pull the main shaft out and roll it on a piece of glass to make absolutly sure it is not bent?

yes sir, I rolled the new shaft on the counter before I put it in,
I have another head ordered, it should be here by wedneday.
I cant for the life of me understand how the head could be bad.
I guess cause its so cheap?
I'll try the new head when it comes in, hopefully that will fix it.
thanks PT for all the help.

...Even a low speed tip-over can bend the aluminum center on the head...there is a lot of mass spinning around up top...are you running GF (Fiberglass) CF or Wood blades?
The FG blades will stand up to some abuse, but are heavy and usually take out something else in head when they meet an imovable object (Dirt, Rocks, trees, Etc...)!
CF gives way fast = less collateral damage and Wood are better yet...

well the thing is, the tail started spinning about 5 ft up and I came straight down with the throttle from stupidity, but it didnt even tip over.
the blades werent even scratched, just smashed the frame and lg, and a couple bad brgs out of it. the feathering shaft wasnt even bent.
and I'm running f.g. blades

When you say the Head do you mean just the head block o rthe whole head with grips, flybar etc.. I've had numerous heavy crashes on my 550s and never bent the main head block

GOOD NEWS, I got the vibration killed and she's hovering good as new.
the new head came in today and about an hour later I had it hovering with very little vibration.
still need to do some tweaking to dial it in again, but she's good to go.
PT, if we ever meet, the beers on me bud.
