Default 8s single pack out of two 4s?

I would like to make an 8s pack out of two 4s packs... and chargeable as a single pack..
It will have a single 8s balance plug and main wires hooked up in series and heatshrinked bullets..

The balance plug gets a little tricky..I will have10 wires for 9 pin plug?

If my theory is correct, I need to hook the pos(final in series) balance wire on first battery into the neg on the second battery together and into the centre pin on the 8s balance plug?

can anyone see danger?

I think you have it figured out. The lowest wire of a balance plug is connected to the primary negative lead and the highest wire of the balance wire is connected to the primary positive lead.

When you connect the positive of one pack to the negative of the other; creating a series connection, you are essentially connecting the highest balance lead (of low voltage pack) to the lowest balance lead (of the high voltage pack)

It should be easy enough to verify that the balance wires you plan to connect are at the same voltage after making the primary series connection.

Shouldn't be a problem, I ran packs like this for a few years and had no issues.
