Default Tarot GY650 Gyro

Has anyone programmed this gyro? I tried to set the limits on the gyro, but it still seems to bind.

Am I missing something?

not sure, but if you have followed the instructions to the (T) and still can not stop the slider from bottoming out, move the ball in (closer to the center) a hole or two on the servos arm.
also, in flight, the odds of you actually making a turn tight enough to bottom out the slider is pretty slim.

Here is the manual:
http://www.cnchelicopter.com/0120201...ser_manual.pdf

My interpretation is to rotate the helicopter itself with the gyro in HH mode and stopping right before the slider binds. Then stop the rotation and hold the rudder stick full right for 2 seconds. Then rotate the helicopter the other way and then hold the rudder full right again for 2 seconds. That process seems entirely wrong, but it is my understanding of the manual.

I performed the process to the T and still binding.

Had it in HH and moved the heli to the desired end point and then right stick for 2 seconds and performed the same process for the other directions.

I'm stumped

Are you re-entering the limit program after setting the first limit?

Yes, I am entering it seperately, just as the manual states.

I think I will try doing it all in one program, just like how the Align Gyro is.

I also have a Tower Pro 9257 tail servo. The default setting for the Gyro is 1520 @ 280hz, is that correct?

I think it is great. It holds very well. Setup is easy except for the limits.

Thanks for posting. Yes the method for setting the limits (moving the tail) seems odd, when they had the ability to use the rudder stick, like everyone else.

How do you find the piro stop? Any bounce or drift from the stop point?

Piro stops are good. No drifting Or bounces at all.

I was a bit on the fence when I got the gyro, but it works and looks like the gp780. I am not doing any crazy 3d so I cant give you a good review on that. The tail will stop on a dime.

Sounds good. Thanks!

I have one on the way. It's only $47.88 shipped now, on eBay.

I am having the same issue. I can set the Limit on one side, but not the other. Anybody know how to resolve this problem?

Mine binds just a little, but haven't seen it be a problem. If anyone has experience with this setting for this gyro, please help!

Otherwise, I am impressed with this gyro. The tail holds well during piro flips and tic tocs. For the price I have no complaints.

You just enter the limit set mode twice to set either side. It's stored on exiting the set mode, so you must do it twice, once for each limit. You can either move the tail until the tail slider is close to the limit or, I'm told, use the rudder stick by pushing it left or right less than half way. See this thread:

Anyone want to share their parameters on this gyro? Im running it in my Tarot 450 pro and it seems slow. Anyone know if adjusting the L Brake or R brake could be the key to fixing it? Thank you! Fist heli, it seems to hold pretty well with few small hovers

Have you changed the piro parameters? You can adjust the piro speed right on the gyro.

Has anyone ever worked out what these two parameters do?

Rsps: Sensor Response
The more the stabler, but weaker to vibration. Default value is 3.
LkGn: Lock Gain
The more the stabler, but too high may cause uncontrollable swing while a high gain set on transmitter. Default value is 3.
