I've tried all kinds of headspeeds, 900-2400. I'm now flying 900 in normal (its set as a idleup though, and its really just for showing off I don't fly it alot this low), 1800 in idle 1 (I really like this headspeed, can still get it moving quick, not as intimidating, almost doubles my flight time), and idle 2 is at 2150 (usually fly here, really moves out, no lack of power. It's a good headspeed).

I have the quantuam and a hobbywing, I know it's not good on the esc but I don't do it often enough to care to much. Really want to get a YGE 160.. maybe next $400 or whatever they are I get I'll get one.

Well, it goes to show how good the old HW120 really for the money.

Surprising it didn't burst into flames at 900 without AFW as that's a lot of energy going nowhere.

I asked YGE what the minimum % we could use with AFW and they said 45%

Kontronik will let you go much lower!

Yep the hobbywing is great. Probably done 10 flights or so at 900 rpm never had a issue.
