Default Western Robotics Hercules BEC High Current ENOUGH

Will this BEC enough for my setup?

DS95 cyclic, Scorpion 1360 and DS95i.

Which WR model are you talking about? MKS recommends a 10amp continuous bec for this setup. The WR Hercules Mini BEC G2 is probably the best option for the Warp, from WR, due to its light weight, small footprint, and adequate output for any servo setup.

Warp 360...I'm using YGE 60 right now using the internal BEC without any problem. But would to like an ex BEC for peace of mind.

WR Super Mini BEC G2 or the WR High Current BEC should work.

The HC BEC is only rated for 5A continuous but has 10A diodes in it so it should be adequate and will be more powerful than the internal YGE BEC you have now.

I guess it could depend on how hard you fly it but I've been running off the YGE bec on one of my birds for over a year no problems at all. Got the WR Super Mini on the other one.

It probably depends on the FBL unit as well. Some are more sensitive to voltage drops then others.

Like the HC or BD apparently.

Also depends on reciever/sat setup the more you add the more power it uses. I find that with Ds95/95i and one sat i have no issues running the internal YEP45 BEC.

Not entirely true .... this has to do with the satellites and not the FBL unit itself.

Gotcha. So just giving more amps is more of a work around in such cases.

Potentially, yes ... it all depends on your sats to be honest.

[quote=Jeff_Barrett;5652301]Not entirely true .... this has to do with the satellites and not the FBL unit itself.[/

To clarify, it IS the DB FBL unit, but the voltage sensitivity has to do with the combination of ( only) bd/HC and satellites

It's the DB/HC FBL unit, the way it provides power to the satellites, and does not come into play when using a receiver other than satellites.

Satellites on other FBlL ( VBAR for example) units don't have the 5.5 volt minmum requirement that is necessary when using satellites BD/HC

There a thread, I think in the JPEG forum,, or maybe it was the jeti forum where the JLOG guy ( member dl7uae) explains
