You are worth waiting for.

I would rather wait to have a Great product then have one that is rushed and flawed. I have two heli's waiting for the 720

I live about 2 hours from Vancouver. I'd be willing to drive up to get one if I could be one of the "few early customers."

Sorry, misspoke. It's in alpha now (has been for many months), but it's nearly out of alpha into *beta*, ie a few early customers.

Hehehehehehe - I would drive from Atlanta

I suspect that it would be faster by post or UPS.

In addition to handling FBL, will the 720 will have auto-leveling for "freakouts"?

Is it here yet?

The SK720 will have the self-leveling function or "bailout switch", we are currently testing the new accelerometers and the self-leveling is working.

Nice !!

I'm wondering what the price will be.

I want to go FBL aswell. And i had a offer to buy a second hand V-Bar from micado for a discount. But with the SK-720 getting closer i dont know if its a good idea to buy a v-stabi.

As long as you remember that at that stage it is an unproven product. Despite the big amount of testing, once it gets in the hands of joe bloke, the real issues will show up.
It should be fairly good as they already have experience with the SK360, but this one is a whole new ballgame as it adds a 3rd axis and a recovery system.
I am guessing that most problems will show up as misunderstanding the manual instructions.

Thanks for your info. I agree with you. This will be my first FBL system so maybe its smart for me to start with something thats proven. And when i advance buy a SK-720 to replace the other product or put more heli's on FBL

i hear its like a disease. If you get infected the only cure is to buy FBL systems for all your heli's because its fly's so nice

You might be able to pick up a SK360 2nd hand from somewhere. Assuming that you already have a tail gyro, the costs will be negligent in comparison to the bigger new systems.
There is also plenty of info here on the forum and lots of Users with experience on it.
This will then give you experience at affordable cost and ready for the next step, which might just be the SK720.
This is certainly the way that I chose. I converted my RJX50 to FBL with a SK360. As I am sorting it out and gain experience in this area, It gives time for the SK720 to hit the market and to get the 1st reports and updates in.
That doesn't mean that I won't purchase one early and start the conversion of my Stratus or Fury, but it does mean that by the time I get around to fly the new one, some time has past to get the initial feedback about the system.

Default SK360+

Is there a plan to put the new features into a 360 like package for those that want to keep the 3rd axis seperate?

There will be a firmware update, but there is no real advantage to keeping the third axis separate.
