Default First day of Flight School w/Capt Jack

What a fun and information-packed two hour session I had today.

I'm fairly new to heli's and had read Capt Jacks second book on a flight out to California. After seeing a post regarding the Flight School, I reached out.

Playing with Phoenix before this session with Jack was frustrating...and seemed to have very limited value verses the real world. After properly setting up with sim with Jack's guidance...What a Difference! I was able to control the heli so much more effectively. Now, not only can I practice on the sim and feel like the skills I'm developing will be useful on my 4503D, I can also use the settings learned today to make the 450 much more controllable.

Jack does a great job of explaining the theory behind the machine...and really makes the learning process a lot of fun.

Doesn't hurt that we have a home state (Connecticut, US) in common.

Now, lots of practice so that I can move on to lesson two.

Thanks Jack!!

I've heard of him, however I'm curious as to how to sign up for his class. Requirements, frequency etc. Can you enlighten me ?

Go to the Phoenix Flight Sim forum. His on-going thread is called Phoenix Flight school. You can PM him from there. He answers quickly.
