Default slow mo piro flip video

Look for zfloop on you tube he has some really great videos on his channel that break the piro flip down it too half flips. He has a whole series, rc heli flight school v1.1. They helped me get past the plateau I had been on for about a year. Now I have the piro half flip down in all orientations and learning to put it together for a full. They are a little wobbly but I get lucky with a series of clean ones sometimes. The videos really helped shorten the learning curve for a lot of maneuvers for me.

Really the blble for learning these as it has nice slow singles before going nuts.

Nick really breaks it down and does them nice and slow at the start.

yes that one is awesome except I spend more time trying to hold the heli still so I can attempt the next step. What Im really looking for is a super slo mo so I can use lock position in rf and then match my cyclic moves with the rudder yaw rate.
I keep getting confused as to exactly what stick stir matches what piro rate
i.e. the stir for a 2 piro fulll flip is different than a 1 piro full flip etc

The flips and rolls at the start of nicks video really explains it.

In lock position, do flip/roll/flip/roll. Note what your cyclics are doing at each stage. Next try to 4 point the piro flip. upright, knife edge, invert, knife edge (repeat). VERY slowly increase smoothness and speed ensuring you hit all 4 points exactly. Next do this with the piro direction the other way. (MUCH BETTER learn both directions at once).

Next 8 point the piro flip, then start to increase speed SLOWLY (then do other direction).

Once you have starting from upright tail in, then start tail left or tail right, then starting nose in.

Get the feel for the look and timing of the cyclics.

Once you learn this one, its getting the cyclic corrections, so that no matter the disc and tail orientation you "feel" the correction to push the disc in the flip direction you want.

To "do" this move one way on timing alone is easy. To fly the move in any direction is HARD (and the real purpose).

If you can get a sim recording (RF, Heli-X - non-video) of a good piro-flip you can slow it right down and have stick display turned on. I am still too new at the move to do a decent job of this. (nu66ie, gitbse, etc.. this would be appreciated). I understand the theory, just lack the the months of practice to get it to reality (only started Nov last year).

A lot of folks (myself included) start to try these before they are ready. Noting wrong with that though...

Fantastic stuff. Well beyond what I can do.

Code3Medic, You realise you are going to need to share the heli-x recording file now (zip it into a file and rename it .mov, It will be small enough to post as an attachment in a forum).

Excellent vid, been wondering if mine are even real piro flips but they sure are, i just have a problem spinning them to fast and the heli never quite gets to a level inverted state, need to practice them in slow mo and get more of the motions down per angle vs the stirring.
