I have to get a new one. I heated it to much and the C/F rod broke. I could probably fix it but why take the chance.

The new gearbox seems to be a lot more free as well. Some of the top pilots flying them have said they can tell a big difference in their autos and maneuvers that require a lot of power. The other major obvious benefir is no gear mesh to adjust and no greasing to keep up with!!

Good enough for me, gotta get me a couple more.... I like simple

I noticed that when I hold the tail and head and I try to turn the tail to see how much backlash the new box has I noticed that if I turned the tail with more force the torque tube would flex more than with the old tailbox. Has anyone noticed this also?

Love my new gearbox, now if I can get more time on it I'd be happier

Don't know how the different gears would cause the TT to flex more unless you are applying more force w/ the new gearbox????

If the torque is flexing, I would be pulling it out and checking it for cracks along the length of the tube. I take pliers and hold each ball coupling on the end of the tube and I can not twist it. So what you might be seeing is slack between the couplings and also the front gear mesh.
