Default Best servos for 450 DFC Pro??

Did a search, but nothing really conclusive was found. So, what are some tried, true, and field proven servos for my 450 DFC Pro?
The stock align 415's are jumping around they they're getting poked in the arse with a hot iron. And I really don't care about cost. Just want solid, reliable, twitch free servos.

Kst215s have been flying great on my 450. I have 515 on the tail. I'm sure there are better but for the cost you can't beat them. Gear sets are cheap, $6 each!

I'm always leary to recommend the KST's or TGY-306 without more info. They are power hungry and can bring many ESC's to their knees resulting in brownouts. 5a is the minimum to run these and a capacitor in the circuit helps. I have KST 115's (older version) running on a separate 5a bec. When they work they are awesome. But they can cause brownouts if not powered well.

Assume that's for the HV version? How about the LV version of the TGY-306? I use them on my 450 Sport with a YEP 40A but wasn't aware that I am in risk of brownout.

True but you can get a bec pretty cheap.

The turnigy 306s run fine for me. But you asked for the best. That's the mks ds95 + ds95i combo

The KST...RJX...TGY... Servo Kings servos are great, I have dozens of them, and I've not had a brownout, or in flight failure yet, nor have I seen one!

The MKS DS95 are very good servos, they have a 93 now and I heard they had a HV version on the way, wonder how much they'll over charge for them?

The newest servos I have been trying are the OMGs, and I have been very pleased with them. they are smooth, fast quiet and twitch free! cyclic servos are HI-MR-CF305, and the rudder servo is MF-CR20Q, they have a mini servo for rudder also, but these were a kit for the 450...

Yep 40 has a 5a BEC so you should be good. I've had a brownout using smaller 9025 digital servos on a 3a hobbywing 40 but my CC Talon 35 and YEP 40 have both worked well with no issue. They both have a 5a BEC.

As far as HV or non HV it really doesn't matter much. The servos still draw about the same current they just move faster when they have more voltage. I know this seems counterintuitive if your used to arguing V=IR but when it comes to servos just accept that they tend to use the same amount of current (close to but maybe not exact) regardless of the voltage they are run at.

The problem with the p=va argument for hv servos drawing less current is that it assumes they use the same power. They don't, fast and stronger = doing more work/requiring more power

I'll throw in my two cents here, I have a few 450 size helis with the MKS DS95/95i combo, and I have a few 450's with the TGY-306HV's. I have thousands of flights on both servo brands and I have to say, I have never had one problem with the $23 Turnigy servos. The gear replacements are cheap at $6 a set! The DS95's and the 93's haven't been as good to me....I have had a few just burn out on me, and others act up in flight. MKS servos are extremely over priced, and the replacement gear sets are twice as much. I just received a few new 450 size helis and I will be putting the KST 215's in them.

I would definitely go the KST/TGY/RJX route, a fraction of the cost of the MKS and the performance is just as good. That's just my opinion.

A shot in the dark here, but are there any "brushless" servos for the trex 450?

The 5065s were a great flying servo, by today's standards they are kinda slow, fast enough, but like I said compared to whats out today, they are slow...

Thanks for the info with my inexperienced self I won't notice, still learning. I will say they have very little to no play in them, the DS416's had alot.

yep I agree compared to the align servo (lots of play) my TGY's still not showing any play , they still do precise centering and are awesome.

Replacing the gears for mks....mmmm 0.03 vs 0.05 doubt if anyone will note a difference

I have the Hitec HS-5065MG on my 450 pro DFC. They are good servos, but the gears can break just by looking bad at them. Because of that, I bought the Tarot fragile servo arms.
