Maybe Rüdiger Feil (www.hirobo-online.de) knows when it will be available?

You could always drop him an email...

Ciao,
Bob

Considering buying another 450 class heli. Looks like it can be pre-ordered right now at heli prozs.

I was always happy with my lepton, so i figure the new 450 should be pretty nice as well. Just wish I could find the spec sheet for this bird.

Anyone know of KV SIZE?

Lets hope the parts prices are not through the roof. remember the lepton....

Me too. The fact is nobody has gotten one of this 450 class heli. Otherwise, I am sure we will have a lot of topic to talk about ....

I don't like the design at all. It looks like a real pain to work on and heavy. I won't be getting one. I have my eyes on the Robo 300.

That is expensive when comparing with Align 450 Pro for the FB version. Even MA's Furion 45 is must cheaper than the no motor, no ESC version.

The FBL version may be more expensive !!!

The RTF motor is 3500KV according to:
http://www.hirobo-online.de/katalog/...eli/index.html

R Feil notes that the stock ESC is not sufficient for hard 3D. If he says that then I'd take it as gospel ..

Looks pretty cool!

Bob

I'll buy it w/o motor and ESC. Most likely I'll be using the YGE 40 or 60 ESC. I'm still doing some research for motor and servos to use.

I'm wondering if the Embla's tail unit will fit the Lepton?

Good news for those waiting for this kit to come out. I heard that the Embla 450 kits are coming in next week. Just in time before Christmas. It'll be a great present under the tree.

I checked Heliproz.com and it looks like they're already taking in pre-orders. To my surprise the price of both the flybarless and flybarred are very, very reasonable especially knowing that they're Hirobo. These kits are not airframe only, but will come with the motor and ESC.

Here's the link:

http://www.heliproz.com/products.asp?dept=43

I sure can't wait to get mine.

I got email notification last night from Heliproz.com, Embla is on sale NOW. For $449, we only get the machine no electronics ....

I wouldn't say that this kit has "no electronics". As you can see at the Heliproz website, these kits are dropped shipped from MRC. If you check MRC's website, they are offering both flybarred and flybarless kits with Motor and ESC included so it's not entirely a "non-electronics" airframe only kits.

Servos, gyro, and receiver are all owner's discretion. There are some heli enthusiast that are inclined to use they're own favorite branded manufacturers like Futaba, JR, or Hitec servos/gyros in lieu of the one's provided by other manufacturers.

Also I'd like to add that the spare parts for this kit will be available this coming week or the next, so parts support are all covered and will be immediately available at your LHS that have Hirobo products and/or MRC. If you're going direct with MRC you can always ask for Mr. Don Boyce. He'll accomodate all your Hirobo needs.
