Default Toxic Racing Motors- further flight testing!

Will James and myself went to Black Sheep on Sunday AM to continue testing the TRM G-26 motor. This motor is installed in a X-Cell SE gas graphite machine nearly identical to mine that has been flying for a couple of years now.

The motor is continuing to be very smooth. There has been no incidences of any rough running or vibrations and the motor now has right at 1/2 gallon of camper/Lawn boy ashless oil at 28:1 mix ratio. After this gallon is complete, the motor will be switched over to camper/Amsoil at 50:1 ratio.

Power is VERY good and the throttle transition is very smooth, with no lag, bog or hesitation issues. This motor takes the fuel very well! Although not fully broken in, the motor is being pushed a little more each flight (while still way rich on the needles). The motor is then left to FULLY cool after each flight (usually 45 minutes to 1 hour). This "heat-cycles" the motor and aids in proper break-in. With each flight, the motor is getting noticeably stronger.

User friendliness has been excellent. The G-26 comes to life immediately with the Pro-Flex starter or after a couple of pulls when cold on the pull start unit. Starts after initial warming are nearly always during the first pull of the starter.

The Toxic Racing Motors modified G-26 is well into break-in and has not exhibited any of the rough running or vibrations that have been experienced with the G-26 platform. So far, so good!

Video soon to follow on this thread.

Later,

I love that helicopter.

John could not have said it better. The Prototype TRM 26 is running GREAT. I'm off to the field now for another flight. Look for video to be posted later today sometime.

Thank you very much for taking an interest in what we hope and believe is going to be a great help in eliminating the gap between gassers and their glow counterparts.

John is a friggin Gas Guru!! Rock on man!!

That there is real exciting. I'm damn glad that you guys have grabbed the ball with gassers and are running with it. That video sure holds some promise!
