Mr. Mel is contacting K to see what to do, Ready Heli says they tested one of their HJ's with PD and it connected fine but said to make sure that the HJ has the latest s/w version 11. I think mine does since I had to send it back for the VBar Gov update. Not sure how to check though.

It should work regardless, progcard 2 has not changed, regardless of hj version.

Joker...
You have a JLog. Have a look in JIVEinfo.txt on the SD.

Oops, yes, my mistake...

K has forgotten to change the version number by the update procedure v10-->v11.

I know what your saying because even with only version 10 I should be able to use Progcard 2.

... I'm stumped. Hopefully Mr. Mel finds out something for me, I hate to have to send it in again because that is about $150.

I think you have v11 mistakenly naming itself v10.

But there was absolutely no change in the protocol with a PD/PC2 from v10 to v11.

As Marcial mailed you few hours ago: It w'd be a good idea to test the PD with another JIVE. But at first test with an other servo patch cable.

Do you or a friend own a ProgCard-II? Does it also not work with your JIVE?

Very strange that...

Tom,
I just read the email and I actually made a cable this afternoon to test. The cable I made was actually shorter, I did this hoping the signal could travel a shorter distance and make a connection.

I dont have have access to another Jive so I'm out of luck here

One question, should the red light be flashing at all during operation? I still haven't had any luck and have tried other servo cables.

The flashing is OK.

Hmm.., no other JIVE at hand...

So the next step should be to swap the JIVE..
K will tell you if and how, I mean, if directly or more convenient via RH.

Again: Strange. A German saying is: "Man kann alt werden wie 'ne Kuh, und lernt immer noch dazu." An attempt to translate it is: "One may be old as a cow, and is still learning to do so." But, it does not rhyme as in German.

I think it has to go to Germany as it's a black edition.

Nice saying lol, that's the funniest thing I've read in a while. Seems like we always have those one off situations that make use say "What heck is going on"

At least we will all learn something.

Mr. Mel do think I could get some help from K on shipping? I know that might be asking a lot but being that this seems to be a manufacturer problem I would hope to not have to pay for shipping overseas.

I did respond to Marcial and waiting on that response, maybe he could tell me about the shipping.

Thanks guys for all the help so far.

I have the same issue.

Known good ProgDisc's will not connect to my HJ. However, ProgCard II works fine.

Both units were purchased from GrandRC in late December. Should I send both units back to K in Germany?

Thanks

Do you have a chance to try the PD with another JIVE, regardless if "normal JIVE or H/JIVE?

In any case, you should get into connection with K's hotline by email.
