Naw...just got my goblin 770 up and running. Maybe if it had came out a few months ago.

At last the real align 800E is out (instead of the older v2 700 design).
I'm just surprised it took so long... I guess they had quite some stock of those belcrancks and stuff lying around!

I was thinking of going for the logo 800, but this can change my mind. See availability.

Exactly, it's based on the V3 and not the V2! I think quite a few people were waiting for this. It seems it also has more powerful servos, suited for 3D.

The frames on the 800E pro are taller.

Yep, the frame is taller, where the ovals are is where the 700e DFC frame ends. You have a lot of space so I guess you can run 14s if you want to. The whole drive and servo system looks like a 700 though. The front plastic tray does not have the gyro platform on it now. It comes with the metal frame stiffeners and the new BL800H servos.

It looks like a nice heli, and its on my short to buy list but I am not really looking to make a move on an 800 until this winter.

I have my 120 ESC mounted on the back plate on my 700 and wanted to do the same with my 800.
However, I found the 160 was too big to mount there on the 800, unfortunately.
The one plus for mounting in the nose is it an easier install, with regard to wiring to the motor, wire routing etc. You still have to dremmel out some plastic in the nose to make the 160 fit there, though.

Will this run 7s 5000's?

I wouldnt run an 800 on anything less as the batts wont last to long and I just realised why Dino said his 50c packs where not enough, because they were 12s packs.
