Default Gov question

I have the gov setup on my gear switch however that is also my fc gain switch. How can I lower the headspeed without lowering fc gain? Also in the program menu or in the gview for gov the numbers are not headspeed but output frequency right? If not its got my ys56 trying to push a 2150 hs and that's no good. I want 1950

Move the FC to Aux 3 or the gear to AUX3

Going along with this thread...cant I just use the gov option on the TX(9303)?? When I cycle through the idle up switches..the numbers are correct on the interface. What I am wondering about is shouldn't my throttle go full open and stay there while in idle up??? This of course in on the bench. Oh and mine doesn't stay wide open, it closes and opens not matter what flight mode....

The curves need to be at 100% for the throttle to go to full open

Andre, the Gov in your radio will just tell it what RPM to maintain. Your throttle servo will follow your throttle curve set in the radio.

ok thanks..so it is not necessary to put my throttle curve to 100% because the GOV will tell it where to go once on...Am I understanding this correct?
Andre

yes andre. once it kicks in your set to go unless you put the setting on active in the gov menu in which case it will follow your throttle curves

To add to what rotor head33 said, you can choose 2 types of Governor settings - Normal and Active.
Normal will run the Gov setting you tell it while Active will follow the curves AND add to the curve. If you are running a Nitro you generally set your throttle curve with out the governor first. After you are happy with the curves you can turn on the Governor and choose between the two choices.

On the Nitro if you throw a magnet or loose the sensor you will revert back to the curve. If it is correctly set you should see little effect. If it is a simple V curve you would notice the change in RPM's right away.
