Man I did everytihng to the T,connected and installed program and up-date to PC,connected Y harness to gyro sensor first,pushed button and connected Y harness installed up-date next disconnected Y from gyro sensor to proceed to connect to 3G controller with Y disconnected from dongle pressed button connected Y to dongle counted 10 sec. released button down load was complete.
proceeded to turn on switch got a red flashing led status,and does not want to initiate.
I know in the manual in the trouble shooting it say's bad cable connection or posible movement dureing initialization.heli was not moved while powering up.

@dale: I think you need to run the setup again. 3g setup e. lim, a. lim.

Ok mike you are correct ran set-up again,but I also found a factory deffect with the polarity on the cable that run's from gyro sensor to the controller it has inverted plugs and polarity is backwards + one plug is in the right direction but polarity is inverted other plug is mounted upside down.
swaped the plugs for the correct ones and it worked a little better only thing I need to power the system up from 4 to 6 times before it finelly initiates.

I do have a question for everybody that ownes a 3G,How many times do you have to power up you'r 3G until it initializes most guy's at my field mabe just once or twice?

Just loaded the 2.1 on my T250 and put the "T250/T450" preset in. Flew 3 packs in about 8-15mph winds in the backyard. I suspect that T250 owners are going to be happy with the 3G now

yeah i noticed that to the wire colors didn't match up with the usb wires

Well I finally got mine today from ultimate hobbies (in store) they just got 4 in today and I had to wail for them to put a price tag on it haha. http://www.ultimatehobbies.com/istar...IHEP3GF02!1019

The cable looks like the wires are not crossed or anything. Took me awhile to figure out I had to update firmware on the sensor AND controller seperately. haha I could not get it to link up to my laptop because I had 2.1 on the sensor and 2.0 on the controller! Anyway someone else on the freak had same problem and thats how I got the solution.

Mike when I said that the polarity was backwards I was talking about the 3G v1 unit not the USB cable link.
the usb cable Y harness helped me realize that the other cable that came with the 3G V1 unit was backwards.

ok guys just a quick review from a 2 min hover with the align firmware upgrade ....well its 1am and i just got done installing my TT upgrade from a belt drive and also the new firmware update on the 3g and just from a hover i did in the street lights I personally can tell its more locked in as far and no drift....i spooled up and lifted straight up ...i useally had to keep an i eye on the heli cause it never lift straight up cause of a little drift ...and also the dreaded tipping over if you touched the cyclic on spool up...i know it was only a 2 min test but it def feels different to me at least in a hover ..will know more in a few hours when sun comes
