Pax Rotor Jam 2014 June 21, 2014
On behalf of The Patuxent Aeromodelers , I am pleased to announce that the dates for PAX Rotor Jam 2014 are June 21 and 22, 2014. This is a growing event as we doubled our attendance in 2013 from 2012. Keep an eye on this thread for updates as they become available. The event has been added to RCFlightDeck. I setup a preregistration however, we do not have a PayPal account for the club. It will give us an idea of who is planning on coming though so please preregister. I am working with the club to get some type of incentive to preregister. I'll let you know what we come up with. Current Sponsors: Castle Creations HeliProz Scorpion Power System ProgressiveRC HeliDirect Random Heli Chad

Sounds good. Looking forward to it. I'm planning more pulled pork this year so everyone can have some. I smoked 32lbs worth for the club's community day event a couple of weeks ago and didn't have any left.

Just two weeks left!!! If you're in the Mid-Atlantic area of the states, it's not that far of a drive.

1 week left!!!
Be sure to double check the event listing at RCFlightDeck. I was just on there and noticed the location was wrong. It's showing correct now so make sure you get the correct directions to the field. Weather is looking promising.

2 Days Left!!!
Who's ready for some great flying, great friends, and great food and prizes? PRJ is happening rain or shine. at the time of this post, there is a forecast for scattered showers but it's been like that all week. I'll be out Friday night getting the smoker and pork shoulders going and I'll be there all night. Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.
On another note, we do allow primitive camping but we don't have a lot of parking room for big RV's. If you have a smaller camper/motor home though, we'll see what we can do to accomodate. Just shoot me a PM before Friday afternoon. Chad

Weather forecast is much better this morning. No rain. Just clouds and low 70s. Sweet.

Radar is good
Got a little rain last night but radar is looking good. Might be cloudy, but rain should be at a minimum.

Thanks Everyone
What a great turnout again this year for our club. I would like to say Thank You to all who took a chance on the weather and made the trip to Pax Rotor Jam 2014. I hope I can speak for everybody that attended and say that we all had a great time. We encountered no rain, just an overcast sky with a nice calm breeze and very comfortable temps in the 70's. Some great flying and camaraderie always makes a great event and there was no shortage of either by no means. I didn't get a chance to take any photos or videos, so if you came out and got some please share. If you have a Facebook account, you can view pics from the event on PaxAero's FB page.
Here is a video that was done up by one of our club members. I would also like to thank all of our sponsors. A ton of great prizes were given out and I think everyone ended up with some type of prize. Thanks again everyone. Chad

Maybe a coupled days late responding, but I have to say that was one of the BEST fun flies I've been to in a while! Lots of great flying, good food, great company, and awesome raffle! I hope you guys did well for the club and I definitely hope I can make it next year!
A zillion thanks to everyone who helped make it happen and thanks to the sponsors. I know a lot of times it's tough to line up vendors who will put in for events and we had some pretty big names behind it. This event is definitely what all fun flies should be like! Oh yeah, and thanks to the guys egging me on to drop the inverted autos on the 450. It's been a long time since I had the guts to go for them again and the peer pressure was enough to finally loosen up the nerves enough to try it in front of anyone. ....you guys owe me a set of skids though!

Glad to hear you had a great time and the inverted autos with the 450 were a blast and a ton of fun to watch. All in all, it was a great event and that was the icing on the cake. Thanks for coming out and hope to see you at the next one.
Chad
