Default throttle setup?

just checking , on the ''inputs from reciever'' my thro is reading 85% at max , collective is 100% green. Thr curves are 0-100 .100% IU's , i set max thro @ IU2 [ something new? thought it was IU1 , no matter]

sk 540

thanks,

thanks,
The inputs from RX should show 0 at low and 100% at high. It doesnt matter which flight mode you use (except TH) as long as it has a linear 0,25,50,75,100 curve in it for the setup. Things can get wacky after ESC calibration and changing the throttle channel endpoints during the process, so you typically need to go through the process twice.

1) Start with a linear throttle curve in a normal flight mode (not TH!) and in the SK software set idle with throttle at full low, and max with stick at high position. Software should now say 0-100% when you move the stick to its ends and give full throttle signal out of the FBL unit for calibration. Some ESCs may require you to set the throttle channel endpoints in the TX to max 150 first before doing this in order for unit to send out full signal to calibrate.

2) Go through the ESC calibration process per your ESCs instructions which will change the throttle channel endpoints in the TX

3) Connect back up to SK software again with same linear TC in a normal flight mode, and the low and high values will be out again from the calibration. Raise stick to full high and set max again, and then flip TH on and set that as idle. You should be back to showing 0 with TH on and 100% at full high stick with TH off. Now you can set up governor in the ESC or whatever TC you wish to use.

I always rebind again at this point as well.

Access to the Hiller and Damping gain is gone since V4 and is built into the overall cyclic gain in the background.

You do still have access to Hiller Decay, but that is a completely different tuning parameter than Hiller gain.

On the original question about the "inputs from receiver" being 85%:
If you are still looking, check your dual rate switch.

I had this happen to me.
I had an automatic DR of 25% for "Norm" on the transmitter.
When I was working on the gyro one night, I forgot about this and got all paniced about the 85% read out on the throttle channel.
It took about an hour of fiddling before I figured it out.
