I think the 550e would be an excellent choice. Runs on 6S 5000 packs. If, however, you don't mind dealing with 12S the 600EFL Pro would be an outstanding choice. A bit more expensive to crash but probably similar to the 550 parts wise.

If you don't wanna do the whole 12S thing then the 550 is perfect.

I've always been curious about the 550 on 6s. 600E helis are notorious battery friers when using a 6s...is the current draw comparable on a 550 to where it might also kill batteries faster and average? Or is it all good. I might at some point swap a few parts on the 600E to try what a 550 is like. I looked at both the newer 600/550 kits and it seems they share quite a few parts.......or am I completely off base lol

I have both a 550E and a 600Pro. The do share a few parts but mostly they are just similar. Despite the heads looking the same the head housing is different for instance. Anyhow, the 550E is a rocketship and it's amazing to fly but it's not as powerful as the 12s 600Pro. Also, I get more flying per battery on the 550e than the 600Pro. Even so, I'm flying the 600pro more lately. Before I got the 600Pro I thought the 550E was extremely powerful and a good handler but my 600Pro just blows my 550e away.
