***Whats in your SWIFT!***
Howdy Fokes.
I have setup this Topic For those of you who own or are thinking of buying a Swift 16. Hopefully Share some Ideas, Work through problems, and Swap setups. At the Moment in the UK the Swift is offered as a package deal only until we get some more in early February. In the Box you find; A AFR Swift 16, Castle creations Phoenix 60 Century UK Motor (spec's unknown, for slightly better motor +£10, but less flying time) 8T pinion. Flight Power 4s1p (14.8V) Evo20 20C discharge (74 amps cont 111 Amp Bursts) Nhp 510mm Blades (100grm) are an option and are cheaper when you send back the woodies. My setup Is with FF9 tx, 149DP rx, s9252 servos, 601 Gyro. (the 601 is a over Kill for this heli, but I had it lying around!) My pitch is +-9 AFR 60% ALi/Ele, 36% Pitch Gain 33% (I have experimented with the tail blades and found the plastic ones that come in the kit are hardly any different to using carbons. Good hold in back wards flight nice pyro rate. Due to them being short and ridged and a high tail speed.) **Remember If you have a Futaba Transmitter To REVERSE the Throttle channel.** Performance; The 20C pack works great with the motor producing a fair amount of power, for was is quite a low voltage (14.8V) considering the size of heli. Performs mild 3D, with more mid range power than top end. Not tic tock worthy. But enough to chaos on the spot. Tail holds well. Very light and enjoyable to fly. I will be getting the 9 tooth pinion gear soon, and that should give me an extra 200 rpm head, currently 1700 - 1750rpm. Will Report back on that. Any questions about it please ask! Adam |

Ohh blingy head, where did you get that?
Dan- You wont be dissapointed. Im using a 4S1p Phoenix 60 setup. The battery only costs £100, so it need not be an expencive heli. And with this setup I can 3D it like my Pred, without ticktoc's of course. The cells really come alive after 15-20 cycles. I will be entering a competition here called Clubmans 3D. Most people will be using 90's but im going to use my stock Swift and show them what its all about with collective controll. We will see how things unvail on the 7th May. Adam |

NTM,
I noticed that you are using the Spectrum receiver. Please note that in the instructions, they recommend for use in "park fliers, not for bigger stuff. I understand that is because they do not have the reange of the standard systems. So if you are using it, be sure to keep it in close. |

I have no concerns about range, when I range test, it appears to have more range than my buddies pcm in his raptor 50. I am concerned about how much current the servo bus can handle inside the reciever, though. I'm using some power hungry servos. |

I mounted it on the bottom side of the radio tray.
Drilled a small hole in the side to run the side antenna wire out of and glued a small piece of antenna tube to the bottom of the tray for the forward facing antenna wire. No troubles so far. |

guys, would you post for me how much your swifts weigh ready to fly?
and is the tango 45-10 more powerful than the neu 1907-10y? I am asking because I am looking to use a swift for aerial photography, and maybe some videography. I am wondering if it is large enough, and can be equipped powerful enough to carry a camera of 7 ounces minimum, and 16 ounces max. thanks for helping |
