Compass Knight 600e motor info
I have a Compass 5026-930kv motor, it came from a Compass Knight 600e kit and I can't find any information on it. Was wondering if anyone knew anything about that motor, thanks for any help you can give.

I'm sure someone at one of the Compass distributors knows the details on those motors and certainly someone at the Compass HQ.
There is a shop over here that still has a couple of the 760KV motors in stock and they have them on Ebay; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Compass-Kn...item33817f5ac0

So , the 6S Compass motor thus was indeed a standard factory issue , but I believe the 8S outsold it I bought mine in 2008 , not sure when they first hit the market , but certainly not a lot of 600 helis with 8S power. It was soon after that that the guys started upgrading their helis first to 10S then 12S - which is basically the norm now, as most manufacturers have "standardised" on 12S .

Yeah, when the 600e came out there were not too many .50 size electric helis around, it was pretty much the Mikado line, the Trex600 (6s) and maybe the MinAir Razor (at least as far as mainstream brands).
One nice thing about 10 or 12s is that the amp draw is so much lower and you can use inexpensive LiPos whereas 6s is really pushing the packs to the limit unless you're flying in a really sedate 'scale' style. I had an Outrage 550 on 6s and it was OK, a bit down on power but that was probably due to not having the timing set right in the ESC as it was my first electric heli bigger than the 500. So when I converted the Hirobo to electric on 12s it was just like OMG it's a total rocket! I couldn't believe how much power was available, too much really. I think we tached it at almost 2300 headspeed and it didn't seem to matter much that it's quite heavy. With the Knight you don't need as much headspeed as it's around 700grams lighter.

Compass Knight 600e motor info
Hi Guys
Searching around for some info on the Knight 50 3D, and came across this thread. I just bought a Knight airframe for a very silly price with the intention of converting to electric, and have a motor question. I understand the 50 3D and the 600E share the same main gear at 87t. There was a 6s and an 8s version of the 600E, and the 8s used a 760Kv motor. Using a 10t pinion and putting the figures through a h/s calculator gives a hover h/s of 2528 rpm. Sounds a little high to me, what do you think? Info on this model seems a little scarce, any other thoughts you might have would be welcome. Thanks Borderlord |

You got the motor data , gear and pinion tooth correct
I flew mine at various head speeds from 1900 to 2250 , never tried 2500 though I think that head speed calculator is a bit optimistic I had a Castle Creations ICE 100 ESC on 8S , never had any issues, and governor worked perfectly Mine now is converted to 12S, sharing batteries with my 6HV
