5S Pinion Recommendations

Running stock motor Align 60A esc and Revoltrix 5s 3300ma lipos any suggestions on nost suitable pinion.

I'm using 5s 3300's with the stock motor and an 18 tooth pinion. I am pretty happy with this settup.

no load head speed is 2870rpm and hover head speed is somewhere in the mid 2700's. Some people are saying that 2600 is the ideal speed for this heli so you could probably go with a 17 tooth also.

I'm using 5S 3300 Zippys, 18 tooth, and a Z20 980 motor. Governed to 80%, head speed is about 2550 rpm. This setup handles +/- 13 deg with hardly any drop in head speed. Only issue I have had is that I need to have the belt quite tight to stop it skipping under full power. I also run the same combo on 4S 3700 at 100% throttle for around 2400 on the head. This setup will handle +/- 11 deg and makes for a very sold 7 minutes of sprited sports flying included mild 3D.

I am running the Kontronics Kora 15-12 on 5s and an 18 tooth pinion,. It has the same power as the stock motor on 6s and comes down cool enough for me to put my lips on the motor!........Ron
