Default Trex 500 ESP FBL Maingear and Pinion Upgrade

I'm thinking of upgrading my maingear and pinion to a Lynx slant gear. I have a Trex 500 ESP with a micro heli FBL head.

I had great luck with this on my 450L; super quiet and smooth.

So lynx slant gear is 134T and matching pinions are 11T, 12T, 13T, and 14T.

If I choose 134T with 11T, will that give me the lowest HS.

Looks like stock is 162T with a 13T pinion; 12.46 gear ratio. Looks like lynx slant gear with 11T would give 12.18 gear ratio.

Any advice on this and any advice on using slant gear from lynx vs stock?

Make sure that the Lynx gear works with the ESP drivetrain. 134 tooth sounds like Pro numbers to me, and the drivetrains don't mesh up.

I'm not saying it won't work, just to do your homework. It would suck to spend spend what a Lynx gear costs, only to learn it won't work.

You could also try a different motor with a lower KV to get a lower headspeed.
