Show off your Protos - post your pics here
I thought I would start this like the other forums have for a sticky.
I didn't notice a lot of people sharing pics of their protos and setups in this forum? So here goes! Post your Protos pictures here! I will post my pics soon. Bob

Here´s my Protos, the original canopy was smashed in a very hard crash due to a rc failure
So i ordered a blank one and painted it in a very "basic" style. For better visibility i put on some white paint on the tailfin and landing gear. |

Here's mine
I added some dayglo yellow to the canopy, but after flying it a few times I'm not sure I like how it presents itself in flight. I think I may try dayglo green instead of yellow (same pattern).
Trailblazer, I really like your white landing gear struts and fin!

Trying to figure out how to attach a photo. If it works, here she is. Had a friend paint a blank fiberglass canopy. Working on chrome for the windshield but may end up going to a metallic silver.

Here is mine with my lousy paint job (no one will disagree ). Great visibility though.

A common theme seems to be "visibility". I have a hard time seeing my Protos also, but I've seen some good ideas here......

Ping, I know I dont have to say this but that is a sweet setup. What Digital flybar are you running? Wish I had the patience to run my wires as clean as that. Someday maybe..
I might get a GAUI flybarless system for christmas and think about using it on the protos depending on how the maiden goes. |

+1 That does look sweet. And I hate white landing struts. I guess I'm used to seeing the Align version with the light blue skid stops, which look like ass with white struts imo.

Make your own washout lock? Looks like a simple route. I was thinking of getting the Gaui flybarless system shortly depending on how the official maiden goes.

I did make my own washout block by simply adding a grub screw to the stock washout. I found it did not provide enough clearance for the extreme collective/cyclic required for 3D. For FF and sport flying it should be fine.
Their two 8mm swash drivers on the market that will provide more clearance the Gaui driver and the Mikado driver. Each are compatible but require the ball links on the swash plate to be swapped with the respective brand. I'm also considering metal grips to eliminate any torsional flex in the grips at the ball link. |

Are you using the 10mm blade grips? Mind sharing a link? A bit off topic but ..
Thanks -J |

Here are a few pics of mine that I owned. I was an early adopter and had some issues which caused its' death. I will revisit this heli in spring when the cf combo kit is available and give it another shot now that it seems the issues have been addressed. Good news is the canopy and fins actually survived, but not much else, lol.
