Guys, if you run short arms for the tail servo (13mm or less) isn't the rod to the tail slider bending a lot on the way from the servo arm to the first boom guide clamp?
Mine did, so I went for 15mm arm...

Take a pair of pliers and put a nice little z bend in the tail rotor control rod...The rod doesn't need to be straight...

As long as it moves easy, just leave it as it is. It will work.

I'm running 13mm and the ball on the outside.. I have installed 2 Savox 1290MG tail servos and all it took was about 1 minute on each servo with an x-acto knife to cut off the small flanges that prevent the servo from sitting flush with the frame..

Why would anyone remove frames or disassemble servos ????

I just finished installing my 1290 and I did use a dremel. I took me about 10 minutes and I think this makes it the easiest way and gives faster access for repairs. I didn't have to cut the servo mounting tab in half and I just used a needle nose pair of pliers to hold it the while i got the screws started. A tip for installing them is to thread in the screw into the mounting tabs while holding it with a pair of pliers before you try to mount it. This make it much easier to get the screw started while hold the tab with some needle nose pliers.
