Perhaps a hookup with Sutty for details on his headcam will do the trick

Well here is a vid of how I've progressed in the living room! I'm getting the blades close to everything, skimming the ceiling and touching it with the stopper, some smooth slow hovering and doing indoor mini circuts tail in with the tail blades in my face! I don't get out much so I do a lot of living room flights.(2+ a day)

Nice one Heli Yea!

My wife has learned to count the main rotor blades on my helis. If there are less than 4 main blades I'm not allowed to fly it inside.

I would never fly my heli in the living room. Not incase I crash but if the blades flew off we would either loose a 40" tv. A mantle peice with ornaments on. A huge cabinet full of antiques or a window lol.

If I anything happened to the cabinet of antiques then I would be dead lol or the tv. This cabinet has 3 shelves of antiques and it is about 5ft long so it's big. And there are drawers below the glass parts. The cabinet it's self is antique lol..

All the other rooms in this house are too small. It's only a bungalow. We made the attic into a bedroom but the walls are slanted to the centre and the centre is only around 6ft high lol..

So this is the maiden flight of my new HDX450 3550kv 320 watt motor whit a 13T pinion! I calc'ed it at 3293! I beleive it! This motor is quieter than the stock but has a lot more power! I love it already after only 2 flights in the living room! You will have to forgive me on the sound my MP3 crapped out and only recorded the motor for a short time so I added some tunes where it was lacking! Well without further ado.............

Hi guys

Just a quick visit as I am still snowed under with home improvments and work.

Chad it's great to see how well your flying is coming on, it really is encouraging to see your vids.

If the weather is Ok today I may get chance to do a vid as I will have to wait for the varnish to dry on the kitchen floor at some point.

I don't think it will be that good though as I have hardly got airborn over the past few weeks

Will be back with you soon though.... love to all

Ian

Crazy I know but I'm actually comfortable! I'm just progressing after over 100 living room flights! It's so much fun whizzing the heli around and getting close to everything! I'm even more confident with the new motor cause I know it has the power to stop/switch direction in a hurry with all that power! It is also super responsive with a faster head speed! I really can't wait to take it outside to see what it can do!

Good to hear your still around Ian Yes make a vid that would be lovely!

I nearly managed to make one yesterday but it was really too dark when I got to fly ,

I'll give it another go next weekend weather permitting.

It really is a great feeling when you get to the stage that you can throw your heli around without feeling scared stiff, nice one mate

Mike, I have a garage, a big one But it is full of junk so there won't be any flying in there for a long time.

HY, glad you like your new motor. Or quite new. I haven't been on this thread for ages till now lol..

Thanks Jonny, it's still new only had it for 3 days and about to put it's 10th living room flight in action! Why don't you ask your parents to pay you to clean up the garage? You will get some $ (P's) and a place to fly!(a win win)

Lol, my dad wouldn't let me do that anyway. He knows where all his tools are and he wouldn't want anyone moving them lol.

I have a garden to fly in anyway. And a sim for indoors. I might get a small heli for indoors for my birthday or something lol. By then it wil be summer and I will b eflying my big ones outdoors

A month and a half can feel like 3 when you can't fly outside! Here's the outdoor Maiden flight with the HDX 3550 with a 13T, the MG90's, and a perfect mechanical setup!(yep this flight caused but does not contain carnage, sorry) Tripod for camera man nuff said.....
