Default Install RF7 on imac

I am running Parallels and Win7 on my iMac. I have been using Phoenix with the same setup and no problems. When I try to install RF7 and insert the disk:, nothing happens. When I run install exe. I get the message "The program can't start because NLVSCAN2.dll is missing from your computer".
Is says try to reinstall NLVLSCAN2 and this is in the same folder. Do I need to install NVLSCAN2.dll and if so how do I do this. I am new to RC planes and am anxious to get RF7 up and running
Any suggestions as it is way frustrating!

Just a thought, you may try to right click install.exe and select run as administor.

You are getting this error message during the install process? Can you post a screenshot? Also, are you using original RealFlight installation media?

Also, I am going to go ahead and tell you that Realflight (and Phoenix) run 10X better using bootcamp on any Mac compared to using a virtualized copy of windows. Using virtualization software does not make full use of your graphics card.

Default sim problem

Had same issue. Research revealed that for best performance, need to partition hard drive and install a windows OS(i used 7, sec. to availability and support) on the MAC. Very easy and fast to swap between the MAC and widown OS. Also, I don't recommend using the "partions" as when you do, you are essentially running two OS on your machine therefore slowing down its performance, significantly.
