Whiplash Nitro!
So who is awaiting the nitro Whiplash with me?
Let's hear your thoughts about the model and see your build pics.

I see you have the BLS451's and a BLS256HV. Why not just go ahead and run BLS255's then you can go HV unregulated all the way (BLS451's are NOT recommended above 6.0volts)?

They were a little out of my budget at the time. I've been running BLS451s off a 2S Lipo for awhile now on my 700 and Fury 55, and theyve been working great.
I've thought about the 255s, but I'd be losing money selling the 451s and then have to spend more to get the 255s. |

I hear you. But, remember, BLS451's are not recommended to be run above 6V and if you are going FBL on the Whiplash, the extra draw from the FBL controller in addition to being above 6V can be an issue. I understand they are working fine on your Fury 55 (I am too running BLS451's on my Fury 55/Furion 6 due to BLS252's not being in stock at the time of the builds, but running regulated to 5.3 volts), but I sure wouldn't want to see failure on the Whiplash.
You will love the Whiplash once you get it up and in the air, outstanding model.

I've been thinking of using something like the SGP Reactor X2 as well.
Perhaps I'll run one of those, as I think I'll still come out ahead versus selling the BLS451's and gettings 255HV's. |

If you switch to BLS255's then get a BLS256 for the tail, you won't need the SGP at all. Run everything straight on LiFe or LiPo.

Well, after thinking about it, I think I'm going to stick the BLS256HV in my T-Rex 700N, and put the BLS251 from that into the Whiplash, then run the SGP Reactor X2.
Maybe BLS255HV's for Christmas |
