Hey Jack !!! Got a new toy today. A laser optical digital tachometer, cost me £17 off ebay. Had a play with it to check it works, but will have more of a chance tomorrow to see what it measure my head speed as.

OK its been a wile coming but here is the Custom 2.4 ghz Walkera DF4#1

The Project:To change this

Now has Xtreme Brushed Motor
Eksy 20a esc
Stock Tail
Anderson 5a esc
Zoom hh gyro
ar6100e Rx
Super skidz
Xtreme 8 degree woodies

Mounted the Rx and gyro on some coreflute which made was great for running the wires in, you may notice the Tic Tac container holding the esc's

Can only fly in rate at the moment as I can seem to tune the tail in hh without wag. Have a dd tail coming so will see how that goes. But she flies ok in rate.
Pretty happy with how it turned out. May even use this to hone my nose-in skills

Nice work! There's always room for a brushless FP in any fleet

The wag is probably the tail ESC and/or motor not reacting quickly enough... I have the same problem with my EDF tail, although it's manageable when I turn the gain down far enough. DD might help if the problem is in the tail motor.

How did you get it to fly in rate mode? Are you mixing throttle to rudder, or just holding the tail yourself?
