Default FBL head question

I have a V2 700e and wanted to convert it to fbl. Does it matter which FBL head I buy? V1 , V2 or DFC? Can I use either of the three?

If you want to convert to fbl, buy a 700 flybarless head. The 700 fbl heads fit any 700 with 12mm shaft. Then buy a fbl controller....

You can use either of the three. V1 and V2 have the same geometry, but the V2 head block has integrated swash driver. This means that setup is easier. DFC is, well, different.

I think it's clear that if you're going to do this you may as well go for the latest head available, so go for the V3 DFC FBL head, but yes, the two others will also fit fine (and even the V1 one FBL head works just fine).

I wanted a dfc head. I had a few concerns, but people in this forum put em to rest. All the parts for the dfc, grips, swash, conversion kit, is right a round $150, I don't have that right now, but I can buy a used complete V1 head for $75. I'm not good enough pilot to tell the performance differene bettween the various heads. I got the fbl bug ever since I got my X7 and want to convert all my birds to fbl.

well to be honest you will - with the DFC its much more agile and response quicker even I as a beginner can feel the difference quite easily
