+1 from me on the sticky as well. I cant believe its not already a sticky. I think the Ikon setup is pretty straight forward but if you miss a critical step, as I did, things can go FUBAR like right quick. These vids should come in the package and be linked on the iKon webpage as well.

There is a mathematical equation to tell you where to run but I don't know it. On the Quantum motors I have always had good luck with 12khz.

Chris,

I'm not planning on doing any autos (on purpose) so I don't feel I need auto bailout. What are the main differences in set up for those only looking to use the governor. Is it better to use the castle or iKON soft start? I'm starting to get concerned about the "hot starts" that I'm reading about some having.

If you aren't planning to use bail out run external gov mode.

Yep, that's the plan. Although a lot of the information will be the same. I am going to start filming the "advanced menu" walk through video either tonight or tomorrow. Depends on how late I get home from work. Been a fun week for me at work.

+1 I have finally gotten my bird to fly right after checking out the video and help from others in this forum I feel that my heli is about 90% there as far as tuning goes.I had the velocity 50 out today and it was flying like a unleashed beast unfortunately the fun ended prematurely due to a fuel line getting stuck at the back of the tank but all is fine just a mainshaft change and she'll be ready tomorrow. Thanks again for all of the help guys.

Default Nitro governor setup...

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to set up my Brain with the Align governor and after watching the videos I think I may have put the two magnets both facing up the same way. To make myself clear; if I use a screw driver going over the two magnets it sticks to both of them, will it work if I just put 2 on the config/ count window on the set up menu?

Another thing is, for the 3 diferent banks do you have to click on all the "use governor" windows or just on set up 1 (default) ?

Thanks again in advance!

Marco

Without having another magnet to test with unknown. A metal screw driver will attract to both the positive and negative pole so that doesn't mean much diagnosticly. Do you have another magnet you can test with? If the same side of another magnet will stick to both then they are both in the same way.

As far as if they will work Check it. See if rpm holds with a 2 in the software. Worse case you are either not going to get the gov to engage because it doesnt see rpm or your rpm will be way too low.

If at all possible I would personally replace the magnets. A little ca debonder and a small flat head screw driver normally works for me.

As for the setups you need to check use gov in any and all banks you want the gov to operate in.
