Default Disabling telemetry/enabling logging 2.6 GW

What is the process for disabling telemetry and enabling logging for a 2.6 GW? Just wondering if I have to do something at the time of purchase or can it be done when I receive it.

Hi Brad!

You need an enabler for that: http://j-log.eu/jlog-in-funktion/jlog2-6gw-enabling

I just ordered a 2.6 GW from Danny yesterday. It should be here in a couple days.

Enabler key file in your PM box. (Remove the extension .pdf, it's just there to kid the forum software.)

A gift from R˛prototyping.

"LO" means "Log Only", no telemetry, that is right?

Don't reply yet, I found something to try :
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...hlight=logview

I have the jlog making a file and a folder on the SD card:
Folder named d000-510
File named log00003

At the download page:http://j-log.eu/download-jlog2-5/
I get as far as LogView loaded and running but it won't open files from the SD card.

I don't know what to do at the:
Einen Device Description File .ini kopiert man auf %appdata%\logview\geraete\openformat. Wichtig ist, dass LV unter demselben Windows® Account betrieben wird, unter dem es installiert wurde! – Ein File .lov ist ein Export aus LV. Indem man einen file.lov öffnet mit LV, lernt LV das betreffende Device und macht es gleich zum aktiven. Einen .lov zu öffnen, ist einfacher, als der Umgang mit einer .ini Datei. LOV ist die Alternative zu INI!

Brad,

LV needs to know how to interpret a log record. It needs a device description.

The built-in "SM JLog2" is sufficient for your purpose.

Then: A log file is not opened than imported by LV.

Afterwards you can save everything, - 1 to many log sessions (imported logs), your setup (device type, colors, ranges etc.pp) into one file, - export so to speak, .lov. Everyone who simply have LV and nothing more can open (yes, now open) your file.lov and will see everything as you have seen and setup the view.

Details (online manual) here.

Default JLC blues

Just got a Jlog from Heli-Direct.
Downloaded the JLC, can't seem to get it out of German.
My PC does see the SD card but it is blank.

Where do I find the device ID? I need that to get the key, correct?

I have never put this in the model. I only intend it to replace my Eagletree for logging motor, battery and rotor speeds; so I figured I would just get it to log from the start.

Does it need to be powered up with the SD card in before the card can be read on the PC?

Yes. JLog writes "version.txt" on the SD.

In the 2nd line of that file is the device ID to be found, and the enabling status.
(JLC only shows the enabling status if JLog at least one time ran w/ the SD and modified CONFIG.txt.)

Only logging, no telemetry?

So you need the cheap enabler "gw2lo". (gateway to log only)

Thanks, Tom
I will put the card in the 'stamp' and power it up.

Yes, I would need the 'cheap' log enabler..

Does someone in the states sell that? I could not find it on the Heli-Direct site.

ID 19-D8-EC-F4 G
Is this correct?

Start

You need to flash the desired firmware at 1st.

Online manual (still German only).

Everything you need is always here.

Is this correct?
26-hwTEST-254.32 is the hardware testing firmware in production.

Sorry, a little slow
I went to the links provided. Must have missed the part about needing to flash the ROM for it to go the first time.
I have no telemetry to connect. I probably never will. I am just trying to get a log out of my Jive.
Which telemetry should I select? Or does it not matter since I am not going to use any?
I would hate to throw the wrong one in there and use a lot of cycles to get nothing.

Thanks
