Default HITec 65 with FBL?

Ok so my neighbors son gave me an older HK450 pro and some misc electronics including a V1 ZYX FBL unit. I have ZERO experience with FBL and was curious if my spare HiTec 65's would work or if I'm going to need to purchase some cheap digitals.
This is just a spare heli for goofing off and circuit flying. All the mechanics are in order (new shielded bearings, Align shafts, RJX FBL head, etc) but I dont have any digital servos available at the moment. Should I use what I have on hand or wait until I can find a deal on some digitals? I'm really trying not to spend anything on it unless it's absolutely necessary. What do you guys think?

I use them with my 450 Sport FBL with a BeastX, and they are great.

Perfect. A brand new FBL 450 for FREE!

Now, if anyone has a 550+ they're giving up on...

And for setup of the ZYX, there is a Sticky which may be helpful and in the Flybarless Helicopter Systems sub-forum, many other posts on the ZYX.

Sounds like you won the lottery

using the 65hb on on my pro dfc... with Robird...

Am still on carnobite gears... love them, they remain tight and slop free even after hundreds of flight... and they're very cheap to replace if you strip the gears!

Unlike my Align ds410 metal gears wich cost almost the same as the entire new servo. I guess I'm gonna buy some Hitecs too.
